Copy TiVo Premiere recordings to WD TV Live via NAS

This weekend I bought myself a WD TV Live…the main idea was, since I have the TiVo Premiere and can record the shows I love, I would like to watch them in my Mac, also can stream Tivo shows with WD TV Live to my TV from NAS in my lazy weekend. Besides, even wish I can burn the recordings to DVD to send to my son and daughter. I’m a complete newbie when it comes to this stuff so please forgive my lack of understanding how this works.

Stream TiVo to WD TV Live

The .tivo files from TiVo box is a protected format that few streaming media player can handle. If you have WD TV Live, the best solution is to convert TiVo recordings and add them onto a NAS so that you can stream Tivo shows to WD TV via NAS easily. Here we will show you a detailed guide to copy TiVo recordings to WD TV Live through NAS. The solution is not very straight, we will talk about this job in two parts:

Part One: Save TiVo shows from TiVo box to Your Mac

Part Two: Transfer TiVo to NAS for streaming to WD TV Live

Step 1. Launch TiVo Converter for Mac

Run this Mac Tivo to WD TV Converter and click “Option” button to switch to “Options” window. Click on “Tivo” tab and enter the Media Access Key.
